EXPRESSION OF QUANTITY

     A.   Definition of expression of quantity


1.    According by Betty Schampfer Azar in 1989, expressions of quantitiy are used only with count noun; some only with non count noun; some with either count or non count.

2.    According by Betty Schampfer Azar in 1999, Expressions of quantity are words that describe the number or armount of noun .

3.    According by Robert Krohn,expression of quantity are used chiefly in question and negative statements and in the subject noun phrases of affirmative sentences.

4.    According by Deborah Phillips Expressions of quantitiy are the word used to indicate whether a noun is countable and uncountable.

5.    According by our group, Expressions of quantity are the words that express the singular and plural noun.
